PIS/Pasep: R7 million is forgotten for withdrawal – 10/01/2024 – Market

A total of 155,000 workers have around R$127 million in PIS (Social Integration Program) allowances that can be withdrawn from Caixa until December 27th, according to information from the bank.

The last batch of payments was released on August 15th, referring to the period worked in 2022, called base year 2022. Every year there is money forgotten about the salary bonus because there are, among other cases, people who do not know they are entitled to the benefit, which is in the government’s sights to undergo reformulations.

The query to check whether there is money left over from the allowance is made on the Caixa Tem app, on the Caixa Trabalhador app or on the Citizen portal.

The money that is not withdrawn by December 27th will be returned to the FAT (Worker Support Fund). If the worker does not withdraw the money by December, he will still have the right to request the amounts within five years, counting from the closing date of the annual payment calendar, according to resolution 838, of 2019.
