The unified request for the creation of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) of the MST in the Chamber of Deputies, reached this Wednesday (15), the necessary regimental number of 171 signatures to be installed.

“The next step will be the formal protocol of the CPI, which we will announce at the opportune moment so that society becomes aware of the indignation of this House with the criminal actions against the men and women of the countryside”, informed the federal deputy Lieutenant-Colonel Zucco (Republicanos- LOL).

The parliamentarian from Rio Grande do Sul attributed winning the signatures to the agreement to unify the three requests, since Ricardo Salles (PL-SP) and Kim Kataguiri (União-SP) had also submitted requests for the creation of the CPI.

According to Zucco, the support of the Agricultural Parliamentary Front (FPA), chaired by deputy Pedro Lupion (PP-PR), was also “fundamental for the proposal to surpass more than a third of parliamentarians”.

The parliamentarians promise to seek a dialogue with the mayor, deputy Arthur Lira (PP-AL), so that the work of the CPI begins in the shortest possible time. “We need to thoroughly investigate who is financing terror in the countryside,” said Zucco.
