Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), granted this Thursday (16) provisional release to another 129 accused of suspected involvement in the acts of January 8, which culminated in the invasion and depredation of the headquarters of the Three Powers, in Brasilia. Provisional releases were denied to 294 people.

The new nominees for provisional release will be able to respond in freedom through precautionary measures, such as electronic anklets, delivery of passports, obligation to go home at night, prohibition of the use of social networks and communication with the others involved, among others.

According to the STF, these were the last requests for provisional release made by the defenses of the people arrested for analysis by the minister. And the supreme also assured that “it has been working quickly on the procedures related to the acts and assured all those investigated due legal process”.

The STF also informed that of the 1,406 who remained in prison, 181 men and 82 women remain in prison, totaling 263 people. However, 4 women and 27 men were arrested for facts related to the 8th, after the 9th of January, in various police operations. So a total of 294 people are currently in prison – 86 women and 208 men.
