MBL will collect paper signatures to create its own party – 05/26/2023 – Panel

The MBL (Movimento Brasil Livre) will begin in the second half of the year to collect signatures for the creation of a political party. 492,000 supporters are needed, gathered in at least nine states.
The movement gave up making the collection based on digital means, and will resort to the traditional expedient of signatures on paper.
The MBL’s conclusion is that the application being created by the TSE (Superior Electoral Court), based on the electronic voter registration card, is not very user-friendly. It would be easier to mobilize the movement’s militants at flow points to get the necessary rubrics.
The idea is to have the party ready to contest the 2026 election, when the MBL intends to launch candidates for positions in the Executive and Legislative branches.
