Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid, former assistant to former President Jair Bolsonaro, remained silent during the Federal Police interrogation held this Thursday (18). He is suspected of leading a scheme to counterfeit Covid vaccine cards that benefited his wife, Gabriela, and three daughters, in addition to Bolsonaro himself and his youngest daughter, Laura, and two other assistants of the former president.

Cid arrived at the PF around 2:20 pm and left shortly after 3:00 pm. Right at the beginning of the hearing, he communicated to the delegate of the case that he would exercise the right of silence because he still did not have access to the entire investigation. Last week, the PF concluded an expertise on his cell phone and now the investigators are analyzing the extracted data.

The colonel had also remained silent when he was arrested, by order of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court, earlier this month.
