Marina’s allies spare Lula and blame disarticulation – 05/25/2023 – Panel

Allies of Marina Silva (Environment) prefer to put the series defeats in the Chamber of recent days on account of the government’s lack of political articulation, and not on a kind of change in the environmental commitment of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).
According to a marinista, a proof of these shortcomings is the fact that the indigenous defense group in the Chamber managed to prevent the vote on the time frame during the government of Jair Bolsonaro (PL), an enemy of the cause, but not in that of Lula, a ally.
Hence the belief that Lula will help Marina to try to reverse the anti-environmental agenda measures in plenary and eventually veto projects that are approved. If this does not happen, however, then the relationship with the president could be seriously shaken.
