Marcus Vinicius D’Almeida He gave further proof that he is one of the great names in Brazil in archery after winning, last Saturday (28) in Salvador (Bahia), the men’s recurve bow title in the Brazilian Championship of the sport. This was the ninth opportunity in which the leader of the world ranking took home the competition trophy.

“This arena [montada próxima do Elevador Lacerda e ao lado do Mercado Modelo] it was special. Who could say that archery would one day make a final here? It was super cool. We are breaking this taboo, that there needs to be silence, that there cannot be fans. We had everything here: fans, dogs passing by. These are normal things that will happen because we are in a place like this. And we have to invest in this. We need to be closer to the public. I thank everyone who came here and followed”declared Marcus D’Almeida, who in the final overcame Matheus Gomes.

The Brazilian Championship was the second competition in which Marcus participated after the last edition of the Olympic Games, held in Paris. Now the Brazilian travels to Tlaxcala (Mexico), where he will compete on the 19th and 20th of October in the grand final of the Archery World Cup. The competition brings together the top eight in the world rankings.
