Macapá will be the stage for the selection of one of the main Jiu Jitsu events in the world, the Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Pro (AJP). More than a thousand athletes are expected, including children, youth, adults and masters for the competitions that take place this weekend, May 27 and 28 (Saturday and Sunday), on the court of the Federal Institute of Science, Technology and Education of Amapá ( IFAP).
Organized by the Jiu-Jitsu Federation of the State of Amapá (Fejja), the event has the support of the Municipal Sports and Leisure Coordination (Comel).
This Friday (26), from 3 pm to 6 pm, at Amapá Garden Shopping, the athletes will go through the weighing process, an important phase to classify them by category. The tournament starts on Saturday (27) and will bring together athletes from different age groups and categories, such as Kids, Juvenile, White Belt, Blue Belt, Purple Belt, Brown Belt and Black Belt.
Athletes and presidents of the federations of French Guiana, Suriname and British Guiana, as well as athletes from other states, confirmed their presence. It will be an opportunity for Jiu-Jitsu practitioners from Amapá to show their skills and compete in an environment of high technical level. The tournament ends on Sunday (28).
