Judges and heads of electoral offices align strategies and final preparations for voting day – Diário do Amapá


Five days before the 2024 Municipal Elections, the acting president of the Regional Electoral Court of Amapá (TRE-AP), judge Carmo Antônio de Souza, held a virtual meeting with all judges and heads of registry offices responsible for the state’s electoral zones. The meeting, broadcast from the TRE headquarters in Macapá, aimed to align strategies and standardize security and logistics procedures for voting day.

Among the main points discussed, the following stood out:

  1. Displacement of Teams: The planning involved sending support teams, such as the Technical Support Center (NAT), ballot box technicians, transmission technicians, police officers and drivers to voting areas. These professionals are essential to ensure the election takes place.
  2. Inspection of Electoral Propaganda: There was reinforcement in the guidelines to intensify the supervision of electoral propaganda in the last days of the campaign, with special attention to infractions and the application of sanctions provided for in the legislation.
  3. Security and Public Order: Situations that require police intervention, such as flagrant electoral crimes, must be immediately referred to the local detachment. Emphasis was also placed on strict compliance with the Prohibition Ordinance, ensuring order and security in the days leading up to and on election day itself.

The meeting was essential to ensure that all electoral zones are adequately prepared to deal with possible challenges and ensure tranquility during the electoral process.

In addition to the magistrates responsible for the electoral zones, the president of the Electoral Propaganda Inspection Commission, judge Luis Guilherme Conversani, the president of the Electronic Voting Audit Commission, judge Marconi Pimenta, the general director of TRE-AP, Valentine Maia, the Secretary of Administration and Budget, Dilma Pimenta, the Secretary of Information Technology, Emmanuel Flexa, Electoral Inspectorate Coordinator, Elinete Freitas and TRE-AP server team.
