Despite the stumble, Furacão had its risk of relegation reduced from 11% to 10%, thanks to the results of its direct competitors. Rubro-Negro still has two games less than its main rivals in the fight against relegation.

From now on, the dispute enters its final and most decisive phase, with fights for the title and places in the Libertadores promising a lot of excitement at the top of the table, but with the fight against relegation becoming dramatic at the opposite end of the table.

At this moment, Corinthians, with 28 points; Fluminense, with 27 points; Cuiabá, with 23 points; and bottom team Atlético-GO, with 21 points, occupy the sticking area.

Brasileirão 2024: check the competition regulations
Series A of the 2024 Brazilian Championship maintained the usual straight points regulation. Continuously, 19 matches are valid for the first round and another 19 matches for the return, with all teams facing each other at home and away.
The champion will be the club that scores the most points at the end of these 38 rounds. On the other hand, the last four placed teams are relegated to Series B.
The classification for the continental competitions, Libertadores and South American, are determined by the position in the table at the end of the Brasileirão.
The top six places guarantee a place in the Libertadores, with only the four best guaranteeing a direct place in the group stage, while the other two need to go through the preliminary stage. This number of vacancies, however, may increase.
If a club obtains a place in the Libertadores 2025 by winning the Libertadores or the Sul-Americana 2024 and, in addition, also qualifying via the Brasileirão or Copa do Brasil, the number of places for Brazilian clubs in the Libertadores may increase, reaching up to eight places .
For the Sudamericana, the six best clubs in the Brasileirão are classified, excluding the teams already classified for the Libertadores.
