Inter beats Vitória 3-1 and reaches eight games unbeaten in the Brasileirão

The honeymoon between Inter and its fans was renewed for another round. On Sunday night (29), the Colorado defeated Vitória 3-1, in Beira-Rioand reached his 8th unbeaten game in the Brasileirão. The match was valid for the 28th round of the national tournament.

The first half, which began scaring the 38,000 Colorado fans who filled Beira-Rio, ended with smiles from ear to ear. Just as had already happened against São Paulo, the Inter took a while to find its feet on the four lines and was briefly surprised by a courageous Vitória.

Proof of this came after just 5 minutes, when Carlos Eduardo received the ball deep and moved Rochet. Luckily for the home team, however, the Bahian striker was caught in an irregular position by the referee.

The scare served as a lesson and, from then on, Colorado no longer suffered bad luck. Lulled by the good moment and the red mass that sang without stopping, the Inter took control of the gamecirculated the ball calmly and did not allow space for Rubro-Negro.

Bad aim, however, seemed to want to interrupt the party. First with Fernando, on the crossbar, then with Gabriel Carvalho, who stopped at goalkeeper Lucas Arcanjo, passing through Thiago Maia, blocked inside the penalty area: the ball didn’t go in.

Just when everyone thought the match was going to halftime with a closed score, Inter finally managed to convert and gave justice to the opening 45 minutes. At 44, Bruno Gomes was brought down by Carlos Eduardo inside the area. When taking the shot, Alan Patrick just rolled, in the middle of the goal. Inter 1 x 0 Victory.

In the second half, the Colorados took advantage of the momentum and right from the start, in the 6th minute, they extended the lead. Wesleywho was experiencing a goal drought that was not consistent with his performances, made a beautiful move on the left, came face to face with the goalkeeper and, with a trick, filled the net.

Afterwards, however, Vitória reacted. When the general impression was that the game was resolved, Lucas Esteves made a great free kick and found Wagner Leonardo free in the area. THE defender headed firmly and scored for the visitors.

Afterwards, the confrontation was completely open. In a matter of minutes, wasted chances accumulated on both sides. In the most plastic of them, Valencia hit a bicycle that stopped at the Bahian mark.

The more time passed, the more the game took on a dramatic air, as Vitória’s attacks continued to pose danger to the home team. However, in the 46th minute, in an unpretentious move, Alan Patrick received the ball inside the area and just passed it to Wesley, without a goalkeeper, to give the final numbers to the game. In the stands, it was just celebration: in September 2024, no one beat the Colorados.

Now in 7th place with 45 points, the Inter will only return to the field next Saturday, at 7pm, when they visit Corinthiansin São Paulo. With one game less than their direct competitors, the Gauchos are 2 points behind the G-4.
