As soon as the consultation is available, the taxpayer must access the Revenue website and click on the “My Income Tax” option. Then, simply click on “Consult Refund”. The page offers guidance and channels for providing the service, allowing a simplified or complete consultation of the status of the declaration, through the processing statement, accessed in e-CAC. If any pending issue is identified in the declaration, the taxpayer can rectify it, correcting the information. The Federal Revenue also provides an application for tablets and smartphones that allows you to directly consult the Federal Revenue databases for information on the release of IRPF refunds and the registration status of a CPF registration. Fine mesh When carrying out the consultation, the taxpayer will also be able to find out if there is any pending issue in his declaration that prevents the payment of the refund, that is, if he has fallen into the so-called “fine mesh”. To find out if it is in the fine mesh, taxpayers can also access the Income Tax “statement” on the Federal Revenue website in the so-called e-CAC (Virtual Service Center). When logging in, select the option “My Income Tax (DIRPF Statement)”. In the “Processing” tab, choose the “Mesh Pending” item. There, you will be able to check whether your declaration is in the fine mesh and check why it was withheld. To access the IR statement, it is necessary to use the access code generated on the Federal Revenue page itself or a digital certificate issued by a qualified authority. Refunds of declarations that present inconsistencies (in a mesh situation) are released only after they have been corrected by the citizen, or after the taxpayer presents proof that their declaration is correct.
