The Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) sent an official letter to Petrobras in which it presented, in addition, three nominations to the company’s Board of Directors, the company said this Wednesday (15).

The nominees are Renato Campos Galuppo, a lawyer who was a legal advisor in the Chamber of Deputies until 2021, Anelize Lenzi Ruas de Almeida, current attorney general of the National Treasury, and Evamar José dos Santos, a financial consultant who served for almost four decades as a servant in the Legislative Assembly of Minas Gerais.

“At the request of the MME, these nominations must be evaluated by the competent bodies of the company so that, if impediments are found that make it impossible to continue with one or more of the other candidates previously indicated, substitutions can be made in a timely manner”, said the company in a material fact. .

The new nominations come after the federal government changed nominees to Petrobras’ Board of Directors more than once, amid political disputes over seats at the oil company. The changes had raised fears about a possible delay in changing the company’s leadership, multiple sources told Reuters earlier this month.

The assembly is scheduled for April 27 after being postponed earlier.

The Ministry also formalized four nominations for Petrobras’ supervisory board: Daniel Cabaleiro Saldanha and Cristina Bueno Camatta for titular seats, and Gustavo Gonçalves Manfrim and Sidnei Bispo for alternates.
