For the first time, Amapá hosts the volleyball Superliga C 2024 – Diário do Amapá
Between October 1st and 5th, Amapá will host the volleyball Superliga C 2024, North Region, for the first time. The competition is held by the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV) and organized by the Amapá Volleyball Federation (FAV), which has the support of the State Department of Sports and Leisure (SEDEL), directed by the secretary Cibely Peixoto, who is a former player of the sport and brings the event to the State.
There will be five teams, in the women’s category, that will be competing in the northern stage of the competition. Amapá will be represented by Ace Centro de Des. Sports and CEDAVT. The other clubs represent the states of Rondônia (Ferroviário AC), Acre (MM RB/Liga Acreana) and Pará (Tuna Luso/Maple). The Avertino Ramos Gymnasium will host the competition.
The champions in each venue (North, South, Central-West, Southeast and Northeast) guarantee a place in Superliga B 24/25. The runners-up will participate in the second stage of the competition, between October 18th and 22nd – at a location to be defined – with an eye on the sixth available spot.
The Amapá women’s teams are training together at the Sports Development Center, starting at 8pm.
