First public footvolley and beach tennis arena in Macapá is inaugurated – News of Brazil

The mayor of Macapa, Dr. furlan, delivered this Friday (24) the city’s first public footvolley and beach tennis arena, located on the premises of the Unified Arts and Sports Center of the South Zone.
“Another beautiful delivery that will only bring benefits to our citizens. An environment that encourages sports and leisure. We hope it will be put to good use.”commented the mayor.
A Mariana Camila, 23 years old, sought out the space to socialize and says she is very eager to play with friends in the new arena. “I already see myself having a lot of fun here with my friends from the project”said the young woman.
In the center are developed several activities and actions of health, culture, social assistance, sport and leisure for the community of all ages.
Amanda Guedes, 25, coordinates a project with more than 100 women. The project is zumba, but the participants also use all the spaces at CEU das Artes for warm-ups. The footvolley arena opened up new possibilities.
“We are already putting together two teams to make footvolley one of our recurring practices. We love the new space”he said.
The newest sports area is 20×12 meters in size, and was designed for the recreation and leisure of the population. The CEU das Artes Zona Sul already has a multipurpose court, a skate park, a green area and a playground in its structure.
