On the first day of the 2023 Income Tax declaration, the Federal Revenue reported that more than 1 million declarations were delivered until 5 pm this Wednesday (15). This is the highest number of submissions on a first day of declarations in at least 6 years.

According to the Revenue, 1,050,123 declarations were made, 302 thousand of which in the first hour alone – a number 30% higher than that of 2022. The period for sending the 2023 IR, base year 2022, began today and will continue until may 31st.

So far, the Revenue has also reported that 2,215,062 downloads of the 2023 Income Tax program have already been made. The IR generator is available on the agency’s website and can be obtained here.

Those who received taxable income above R$ 28,559.70 in the last year are required to complete the declaration. Those who received exempt income, non-taxable or taxed exclusively at source, must also provide quotas with the lion, the sum of which was greater than R$ 40,000.
