e-Título: everything you need to know about the digital voter registration card

To use the e-Título in the first round of the 2024 elections, you must download or update the application by Saturday (5). How do I download and use the E-Título? The deadline for downloading or updating the e-Título to use it in the first round of the 2024 elections ends this Saturday (5). To vote in the second round, in the cities where it takes place, you will need to have the app updated by the 26th of October. The electronic document is not issued on voting day. The e-Título can replace the printed voter registration card and photo ID in elections if you have already completed biometric registration and, therefore, have your photo registered in the app’s profile. If you do not have a photo on the e-Título, you can still vote by presenting your ID, social identity, CNH (National Driving License), passport, reservist certificate or work card or professional category card recognized by law. The printed voter registration card does not have a photo and, therefore, is not used to allow voting. The application is also used to consult the voting location, justify absence from elections and issue other documents with the Electoral Court. At the end of September, the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) reported that more than 46 million voters have accounts registered with e-Título. See below for more information about the application: How to use e-Título e-Título is available free of charge and can be downloaded on Android cell phones (in this link) and iPhones (in this link). To start using, you need to click on “Start in e-Título”, select the box next to “I have read and agree with the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy” and then click on “Continue”. The app will also ask if you allow notifications to be sent. If this is your case, click “Enable” and then select the option on your cell phone to allow notifications. Next, you need to enter some data to enable the e-Título: Enter name, date of birth, CPF number and mother and father’s names; Click on “Enter e-Título”; Confirm other data presented, such as polling place, telephone number, profession – the information is based on the registration made when issuing the printed voter registration card – and click “Finish”; Enter your password and click “Confirm” – e-Título may inform you that your password is out of date and ask you to create a new one. e-Título may ask to carry out a selfie verification. If the option appears for you, read the identification statement and click “Yes.” Then click “Continue” and follow the instructions to take the photo. The application may also offer the option for you to enable access with your fingerprint. If you want this alternative, click “Activate”. Anyone who does not attend the polling place must justify their absence in each shift within a maximum of 60 days later. Voters who did not vote in the first round will be able to vote in the second. How to justify voting using the e-Título Reproduction/e-Título How to find out the voting location To enable the e-Título, you already need to provide some data, such as the voting location. But the “Where to vote” tab allows you to remember the address of the voting zone, as well as your section number. The application also allows you to issue a guide for paying any fees for electoral debts and issue certificates of electoral discharge and “nothing recorded” for electoral crimes.
