Neither of them have confirmed their presence yet. The first cases of collective reparation will involve two indigenous peoples, the Krenak and the Guyraroká. The first were sent to a supposed reformatory, which, in practice, was a torture center. The guyraroká also have a history of persecution.

The session was not affected by the government’s prohibition on carrying out acts in memory of the 60th anniversary of the 1964 coup. As the Panel showed, the prohibition is an effort to relax relations with the Armed Forces.
