Colégio Bandeirantes defines Mauro Aguiar’s successor – 05/25/2023 – Mônica Bergamo
Colégio Bandeirantes, located in São Paulo, announced executive Eduardo Tambor as the successor of CEO Mauro de Salles Aguiar, who has headed the institution since 1996.
“For some years, the Band has been preparing the succession of its CEO,” says an announcement sent to parents and guardians of students. “Mauro de Salles Aguiar continues to support the board as a consultant, in addition to participating in various bodies focused on education, as a member of the State Council of Education of São Paulo for eight terms”, he continues.
The text still refers to Aguiar as a “great banderantino”. “Mauro has always aroused admiration in all of us for his honesty, empathy, courage to defend his ideals and courage to face the necessary challenges in favor of a quality education”, says the statement.
In 2016, the former director stood out as an opponent of the Escola Sem Partido project, which sought to restrict what teachers could say in the classroom as a way of combating supposed political indoctrination.
At the time, in a debate held at the Sheet, Aguiar classified the initiative as authoritarian. “There is no need to embarrass and control the teacher. Brazilian education has more serious problems than this pseudo-indoctrination”, he said.
In recent years, he has been involved in internal controversies by making insinuations about the PT —the current Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, is a former student of the school.
“L for thief, 13 for gang of bandits”, wrote director Mauro Aguiar, last year, when criticizing a former teacher who changed his profile picture on social networks to “13”, PT number in the elections. The message referred to the then presidential candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).
At the time, Aguiar also accused the legend of involvement in the murder of the former mayor of Santo André Celso Daniel.
“I must remember that Mara Gabrilli, through numerous testimonies, reported the PT’s blackmail on the Santo André City Hall to extort money from local businessmen, including her father. With knowledge of the cause, she denounced the murder of Celso Daniel by the PT”, he stated. he. A decision by the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) has already judged the association as “content known to be untrue”.
In 2018, Colégio Bandeirantes sent, two days before the first round of elections, an email to the students’ parents with a video of the toucan, then a candidate for the Senate in São Paulo. In the message, Gabrilli told the students about her candidacy.
The new general director of the educational institution, Eduardo Tambor, has been at the head of the school’s operations since 2014. He holds a degree in engineering from the Escola de Engenharia Mauá and a professional master’s degree in Administration from the Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo.
