Cinemateca Capitólio shows Perlimps, a new film by an Oscar-nominated director

A pioneering initiative in public education in Rio Grande do Sul, the Audiovisual Literacy Program completes fifteen years of activities in April. To celebrate, the Vagalume Session, at Cinemateca Capitólio (Rua Demétrio Ribeiro, 1085) will have a special edition with free admission. The chosen title is the feature film perlimpsthe latest production by award-winning filmmaker Alê Abreu, director of The boy and the world, animation nominated for an Oscar in 2016. The sessions will be held this Saturday (1) and Sunday (2), at 3 pm, at the Cinemateca. Passwords for the public will be distributed from 2 pm.

The program aims to qualify the relationship between cinema and education, carrying out film screening activities for students and teachers, teacher training actions, in addition to advisory services to schools, book publications, seminars and workshops. On the anniversary date, April 15, at 10 am, there will be a screening of the film Lupicínio Rodrigues – Confessions of a Sufferer, biopic of the singer and composer from Rio Grande do Sul, directed by Alfredo Manevy, at Cinemateca Capitólio.
