Chef and researcher Ana Luiza Trajano moved from São Paulo to Paris four years ago and embarked on a new venture: importing products from Brazilian biomes and distributing them in Europe. She announced her new Madame Brésil website on her social media, where you can find a curation of these ingredients for sale.

Açaí, nuts, chocolate, manioc biju flour, corn flour, black beans and palm oil are among the items available. With diverse origins, the products come from small producers in the Amazon and the Southeast. While the Amazonian ingredients are from Pará, the various types of flour come from Minas Gerais.

With Brazilian lawyer Thais dos Santos, his partner, and his Instituto Brasil a Gosto, Trajano intends to “provide access to quality Brazilian ingredients; facilitate their use, translating and adapting them to the customs and reality of each market; offer products that allow a more natural and healthier diet”.

The idea is to soon expand the enterprise beyond European borders. Its intention is to strengthen the production chain of these ingredients, with the appreciation of the work of family agriculture, with a focus on women. In addition, promoting fair trade and positively impacting relations between Brazil and France, respecting biodiversity.
