Last Friday (27), in the draw with Goiásat Couto Pereira, the referee reported in the summary the throwing of glasses onto the pitch by the Alviverde fans. Before, against Operário, an invasion attempt had already been registered.
The case happened while the referee was checking Goiás’ goal at the end of the game on VAR, which was disallowed. The match, valid for the 29th round of the Second Division, ended in a goalless draw.
“I inform you that in the 50th minute of the second half, when I was reviewing the supposed goal of the Goiás team, several glasses containing liquids were thrown from the stands where the fans of the Coritiba team were located. towards the playing field. The team can be denounced by the Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD) in article 213, with a fine of R$100 to R$100 thousand reais. Furthermore, if the Court understands that there was seriousness, the club could lose from one to ten field commands.
Confusion in the Operário game can also punish Coritiba
Another case that could affect Coritiba in the final stretch of the Second Division could be due to the confusion involving the fans in the match against Operário, valid for the 26th round of Series B. Fantasma could also be punished.
At the time, referee Lucas Paulo Torezin recorded the fight on the match summary. According to the judge, after Operário’s equalizer, glasses and a lighter were thrown onto the lawn in the area where the home players were warming up.
As a result of what happened, Torezin asked the players to change the location of the activity and, in the meantime, the fans tried to invade the pitch, being contained by the Police.
The match was stopped for 11 minutes until the police managed to prevent the invasion. As a result, Coxa and Fantasma can also be punished under article 213.
Article 215 of the CBJD also provides: “When the disorder, invasion or throwing of an object is very serious or causes harm to the progress of the sporting event, the practicing entity may be punished with the loss of field control for one to ten matches”.
In the 2023 Brasileirão, Coritiba and Cruzeiro were punished due to a field invasion in the game that took place in Vila Capanema. The team played four games behind closed doors. In that game, however, the fans invaded the field before being contained by the police.
