Brazilian team faces Ukraine in the semi-final of the Futsal World Cup – Diário do Amapá
Ukraine beat Venezuela 9-4 this Sunday afternoon (29), at the Humo Arena, in Tashkent (UZB) and will face Brazil in the semifinals of the Futsal World Cup.
Ukraine’s goals were scored by Abakshyn, three times, Shoturma, Shved, Semenchenko, Sukhov, Cherniavskyi, and Mykytiuk. Venezuela’s goals came from Morillo, Vidal, Viamonte and Francia.
In the group stage, the Ukrainian team qualified second in Group C. In the round of 16, they defeated the Netherlands 3-1. It is the second time in history that Ukraine has reached a semi-final. The first time was in 1996, when they lost to Spain, who advanced to the final.
Brazil and Ukraine face each other next Wednesday (2), at noon, at the Humo Arena, in Tashkent. The other semifinal will be defined between Argentina and Kazakhstan, in one group, and France and Paraguay, in the other. The games will be this Monday (30).
