Boulos cancels live with Lula after problem on flight from Mexico – 10/02/2024 – Brasília Hoje
Federal deputy and candidate for Mayor of São Paulo Guilherme Boulos (PSOL-SP) canceled the live broadcast he would do with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) this Wednesday (2) after problems on the return flight from Mexico president.
The live was scheduled for 8pm. In the statement, the official account reinforces that the president will participate in the “Walk of Victory”, in São Paulo, together with Boulos and the candidate for vice-mayor on the ticket, Marta Suplicy.
“Due to the technical problems of the plane transporting President Lula from Mexico to Brazil, the live scheduled for today at 8 pm was cancelled. Saturday, at 9 am, Boulos, Lula and Marta Suplicy will be on Avenida Paulista for the Walk of Victory”, says the ad.
The aircraft carrying Lula and his entourage — an Airbus A329CJ — had to spend 5 hours flying in circles to dump fuel, at an average altitude of around 3,800 meters above the ground. The FAB (Brazilian Air Force) did not specify what the problem would have been.
After the incident, the plane landed at the airport of origin, Felipe Ángeles International Airport, near Mexico City, and the team boarded another FAB aircraft.
The president, first lady Janja and the delegation arrived in Brasília at 10:12 am this Wednesday. According to FAB, the flight was peaceful.
Lula had been on an official schedule in Mexico since Sunday (29), to attend the inauguration of the country’s new president, Claudia Sheinbaum, in addition to other diplomatic commitments.
