Bets on Athletico, Corinthians and more cannot operate; see list

THE Lucky Sports and the Realswhich sponsor Athletico and Coritibarespectively, are not on the list of bets authorized to operate in Brazil as of October 11th. Other clubs in series A and B, such as Corinthians, Grêmio, Bahia, Juventude, Ceará, Sport, Guarani and Amazonas they also have partnerships with companies that were not authorized to operate in the country.

Athletico, Bahia and Corinthians have Esportes da Sorte as their master sponsorwhile Grêmio shows the company on the chest of its uniform – Palmeiras also has a connection with the house, but only in women’s football.

Juventude has Stake as its main partner. The betting site publishes its logo on the uniforms of the Rio Grande do Sul team.

The two houses are not among the regular companies disclosed by the government. In total, there are 173 websites linked to 89 different companies.

They should go offline by October 11th, according to the Ministry of Finance.

Esportes da Sorte also sponsors Ceará, which competes in Série B. Other teams in the 2nd division have links with irregular bets: Betvip (Sport), Dafabet (Guarani) and Reals (Amazonas and Coritiba).

What bets say about determination

The report found that Esportes da Sorte believes there was a formal error and is looking for the Prizes and Betting Secretariat for rectification, as it claims to have complied with all the requirements of the ministry’s ordinance. Therefore, it hopes to be included on the definitive list of authorized companies as soon as possible.

Reals, which sponsors Amazonas and Coritiba, is also in contact with the government and is awaiting feedback because it understands that it has fulfilled all the requirements since the first license expired.

Both Esportes da Sorte and Reals did not officially comment on not being on the list.
