It’s not because these artists died that their image stopped in time. At least that’s what an American designer set out to do. He created, through artificial intelligence, images of what artists who have died would look like today. Some of them lost their lives at a very young age, decades ago.

For fans of rock legends, it is possible to quell the nostalgia and take the curiosity out of how Kurt Cobain, for example, would be today, at 56 years old. With wrinkles? Certainly. With white hair and still long, shoulder length? Perhaps. But certainly some lighter hairs in the beard would be evident.

Among the club of those who died at 27, there are still photos of what Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison would look like, who would be 82 and 80 years old, respectively. In the suggestion given by the computer and shared by designer Micah Daigle on social networks, Jimi would still wear the same colorful pieces that were successful when he went on stage, with the characteristic mustache and bandana. Check out in the gallery what other names in music would look like today.

By artificial intelligence, Prince could have spiky hair and a mostly white mustache at age 65. This isn’t the first time immortal music names have been aged with the help of technology.

In 2022, Turkish photographer Alper Yesiltas created a project called As If Nothing Happened (Se Nada Had Happened) with names like John Lennon, Elvis Presley, Amy Winehouse and Heath Ledger, to imagine them at current ages.

But the childhood of important names was also a starting point for imagination. A profile on social networks creates arts of celebrities to show them as if they were children. The page has already suggested how little Rita Lee would be if she were a natural redhead, Carmem Miranda and even King Pelé.
