First Shooto Brazil champion from Manaus fights at Centurion FC this Friday (26)

It’s the night of the Amazonas vs Pará duel in MMA. This Friday (26), Cleiver Fernandes from Amazonas will face Denilson Ferreira from Pará at Centurion FC, which takes place at ViVi Arena, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ). The transmission of the fights will be free and starts at 7 pm (Manaus time), through the Centurion FC Facebook page or through the website

The Amazonian comes from a great result for the fight that marks his debut in Centurion FC. In February, also in Rio de Janeiro, Cleiver Fernandes submitted fellow Amazonian Maurício Almeida and won the Shooto Brasil bantamweight belt. The conquest made the 27-year-old fighter reach his seventh consecutive victory and consecrated him as the first Shooto champion from Manaus.

Wanting to increase the sequence of good results, manauara promises a great fight to MMA fans.

“You can expect an aggressive Cleiver, always moving forward. Fans can expect a great show. I go all the time to end the fight, to submit or knock out. I want to have my arm raised at the end, as I always want. I want to come out with a win.”

declared Cleiver Fernandes, who has an 8-1 career card.

Opponent of the confrontation, Denilson Ferreira still doesn’t know what it’s like to lose in MMA. So far, the fighter from Castanhal (PA) has five wins and no losses in his career. After the weigh-in, this Thursday (25), Cleiver said that Denilson’s invincibility ends tonight.

“Until today (Thursday), he is undefeated. Tomorrow he will know the first defeat. Without a doubt, I will do what I know best. I’m a jiu-jitsu black belt and I’m going to put my jiu-jitsu into practice. Once again, I’m going to show the world that I’m not playing around. I’m ready and I worked very hard”, added Cleiver Fernandes, from Amazonas, who carried out the camping at the Nova União gym, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ).

This will be the first of two editions that Centurion FC will hold in Brazil; the second takes place in São Paulo (SP), on June 16th. The card for this Friday’s event also features another Amazonian: the experienced Ronys Torres faces Diego Nunes from Rio Grande do Sul.
