Amapá takes second place in the Brazilian Volleyball Team Championship – Diário do Amapá

Last weekend, the city of Saquarema, in Rio de Janeiro, hosted the Brazilian National Volleyball Championship, in which Amapá was runner-up in the under-18 category, in the second division. The Amapá team ended up losing 3 sets to 2 to the Espírito Santo team, but gained access to the first division of the competition.

In the qualifying phase, the Amapá team won all six games and only lost to the champion of the competition, thus having the best campaign in the championship. The Amapá Volleyball Federation (FAV) congratulated the athletes on their achievement.

“Amapá is runner-up in the Brazilian National Team Championship – CBS 2024!!! We congratulate all the athletes, members of the coaching staff, family and fans”he wrote.

In addition to the runner-up title and access, Amapá also had highlights in the competition. The best opposite and MVP was Vítor Nunes, from Laranjal do Jari. The title of best lifter went to Matheus Xeque, also from Laranjal do Jari, and the best pointer was Juninho, from Macapá.

The Amapá team is made up of athletes from the municipalities of Ferreira Gomes, Amapá, Oiapoque, Laranjal do Jari and Macapá. The Amapá Volleyball Federation (FAV) provided support so that athletes could train and prepare for the competition. The Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV), organizer of the event, provided travel and accommodation for the selection.
