Amapá hosts the 2024 Women’s Volleyball Superliga C for the first time – Diário do Amapá
Amapá hosts for the first time, between the 1st and 5th of October, the Women’s Volleyball Superliga C, North stage. Considered the gateway to national competitions, the event takes place at the Ginásio Avertino Ramos, in Macapá, with support from the State Government.
There will be five teams competing for first place, two teams from Amapá and the states of Acre, Roraima, Pará. The competition is organized by the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation and organized by the Amapá Volleyball Federation in partnership with the State Secretariat for Sports and Leisure (Sedel).
“It is a personal and professional achievement to see Amapá host a competition of this size. As a former player, I know how important events like this are for athletes, who now have the opportunity to showcase their talent and compete at a high level.”highlighted the secretary of Sedel, Cibely Peixoto.
The competition is held in the North, Northeast, Central-West, Southeast and South Regions, in which the champions guarantee access to compete in the 24/25 Volleyball Superliga B. The teams that come in second will participate in the second stage of the competition, between October 18th and 22nd.
“It’s a historic moment for Amapá sport, especially for women’s volleyball. We are very happy to welcome teams from other states and to be able to offer this opportunity for our athletes to compete at home, in front of our fans”highlighted the president of the Amapá Volleyball Federation, Celson Rodrigues.
