The event is part of a series of competitions held around the world by the Abu Dhabi International Federation. These competitions are selective, where athletes have the opportunity to accumulate points for the overall ranking.

The top three in each selective receive a score, and this score is added to form the overall ranking. The best placed will have the chance to represent their countries in the United Arab Emirates, more specifically in Abu Dhabi, at the WorldPro Jiu-Jitsu World Championship, which takes place in November.

The event was a great opportunity for athletes to showcase their talent at an international level and compete with the best fighters in the world.

The mayor of Macapá, Dr. Furlan, highlighted the importance of promoting sport in the municipality. “We are happy to host the AJP tournament in our city. In addition to promoting sports, this event contributes to sports tourism and the development of Jiu-Jitsu in the region”account.
